2016 was something of a milestone, with the 10th annual Virtuoso Best of the Best awards being announced in Las Vegas in August.
The awards recognise the very finest hotels, services, experiences, staff, bars, and spas from right across Virtuoso’s global hotel network.
The title of Virtuoso ‘Hotel of the Year’ was awarded to the charming Borgo Egnazia, Puglia (above). Reminiscent of a traditional Southern-Italian village set amid olive groves, the sprawling resort comprises a championship golf course, beach clubs, a spa that incorporates local herbs and oils into treatments, six restaurants (one just for kids), and enrichment programs like fishing, photography, bartending, and wine appreciation. We have clients and colleagues on-property at the moment, and the feedback coming in validates this hotel’s victory.
