There’s an app for that…

It’s little wonder that one of the current key trends in corporate travel is the use of increasingly innovative technology to make everything from booking restaurants and transport, to tracking expenses smooth, simple and stress-free.

Obviously, it’s a trend we expect to continue.

We’ve seen huge investment from our clients in technology, both for smart phone and tablet apps as well as for Single Sign On (SSO) portals, and we’ve continued to develop our own automated processes which free up our advisors to consult, delivery quality service, nurture their clients and spend their time more effectively.

We’ve also advanced our real-time reporting capabilities and analytics in order to provide up-to-the minute data on your corporate travel activities and spend quickly, and in a format that’s easy to digest.

This year we expect Uber to continue to be hugely popular with corporate travellers, for its convenience, handheld accessibility and simple tracking format, both for checking routes and keeping tabs on expenditure. Our ‘Get Picked Up’ limousine service available via our online booking tool is also gaining momentum, for its recognised reliability that is paramount to time sensitive corporates. The service provides luxury vehicles with friendly and professional drivers, resulting in a seamless airport transfer.

Open Table, Dimmi and similar apps are now the go-to tool of choice for many business travellers organising client dinners and dining alone. The sun is setting on the days of ringing around or asking the hotel concierge to find a free table for you in some of the world’s best culinary cities. Having the ability to quickly change plans and cancel or amend bookings via smartphone is particularly appealing for corporate travellers.

Goldman offer a range of technology platforms, including apps, to track and trace business travel, such as Serko Expense which helps efficiently track and trace travel expenses; Tripcase, a comprehensive itinerary management app; Tramada Business Intelligence travel agency software solutions and Sabre Traveller Security which helps pinpoint travellers’ location and contact information during an emergency and identify and alter plans for those travelling to volatile locations.

In 2018 we’re considering the new online booking tool Serko Zeno, and we expect many clients to shift to virtual payment solutions such as Conferma for hotels to eliminate the pain of regular hotel reconciliation for business travel.

The Goldman Group is committed to utilising travel focussed technology to ensure seamless service and the upmost convenience whilst travelling. We will continue to be on top of travel focussed technology to consistently be able to provide the best services possible for our clientele and raise the bar for corporate travel.
